Hannah BUCKLEY b: 1721, md: John PRICE, j.p. 1761-1770*Folio #202 Will filed: 12 Dec 1770, probated 1802; spouse: Elizabeth; sibling: Sarah; children: Ann (md: Robert EYRE), Samuel, Hannah, Sarah, John, Elizabeth

Hannah BUCKLEY was born on 2 October 1721 on the Buckley farm in New Castle Co., Prov. of Pennsylvania, to Adam BUCKLEY and Ann MARTEN (FamilySearch Ancestral File: AFN:1S8N-ZX2). Since this is a secondary source, the date needs to be confirmed. She married J. PRICE, date not known.

They had one known child, Ann PRICE, born before July 1760. Hannah was deceased by 1760 as her father Adam did not mention her in his will, while he specifically made a substantial bequest to his granddaughter Ann PRICE. "Item I give and Bequeath to my Granddaughter Ann Price the Sum of four hundred pounds Lawfull money and to be paid her as follows. Viz. the Sum of two hundred pounds by my Son John BUCKLEY which is the whole three hundred pounds which he was to pay and the other two Hundred pounds to be paid out of my personal Estate all which four hundred pounds to be paid to Interest for her in one year after my Decease which from (illegible) and Interest she my P.(?) Granddaughter shall Receive when she arrives of age."

We surmise from this: Hannah died young, in her 20's or 30's after having one surviving child, Ann. (Before 1749 is entirely possible, and probable as there were children from a second marriage born about then.)

This left her husband J. Price free to remarry. He and his second wife subsequently had several other children, all younger than Ann.

In 1760, Ann is still under the legal age. (In his will, Adam does not recognize any of the other Price children as his grandchildren.)
